Terms of Service

1. Who you're contracting with

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Keru Ai ("Keru", "we", "us"), the operator of the Keru AI service ("Service"). By creating an account or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility & account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep it up to date, and to safeguard your credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Acceptable use

Your use of the Service is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP"), which is incorporated into these Terms. Without limiting the AUP, you agree not to: (a) engage in unlawful activity; (b) commit fraud, spam, harassment, or impersonation; (c) infringe intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights; (d) interfere with security (malware, probing, scraping, rate-limit evasion); (e) reverse engineer, resell, redistribute, or circumvent technical limits; (f) use the Service or its outputs to train competing AI models.

4. Generative AI — your responsibility

Keru produces AI-generated text, images, and voice. You are responsible for your prompts, your use of outputs, verifying their accuracy, and ensuring you have rights to any content you upload. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or out of date and are not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, tax, mental-health, or safety advice. You may not use Keru to generate content that exploits minors, sexual content involving real people without consent, deceptive deepfakes, hate speech, harassment, instructions for weapons or malware, or any other content prohibited by our AUP. We may filter, refuse, or remove outputs and may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Rights holders may submit takedown requests to support@keru.ai.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, including software, branding, and documentation, is owned by Keru Ai and protected by IP laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within your active plan. You retain ownership of content you submit; you grant us a limited license to host and process it solely to provide the Service.

6. Payments, subscriptions & taxes

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment terms, billing frequency, renewals, cancellations, taxes, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. See our Refund Policy for our refund window.

7. Service availability

We work to keep the Service reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated/serious policy violations. You may cancel at any time via your account or Paddle. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and we may delete your data after a reasonable export window.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages (lost profits, data, goodwill). Nothing limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where such limitation is prohibited.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
